How verification works
The official Cisco portal requires you to log in with a Cisco ID to check a CCIE number and name. Cisco also provides the CertMetrics system, which allows holders to generate a one-time verification code for public checks. Many engineers also publish their Credly badge, which is an easy, no-login way to confirm certification.
If the verification portal spins or asks for a code, that is expected behaviour — only the credential holder can provide the verification code for CertMetrics, or a public Credly badge link if they choose.
